For the first of our ultimate set up features we’re looking at stand up paddle barding equipment that’s bang on for your wee ones. New for summer 2021 the NCW kids 3.5mm full length wetsuits are durable, versatile and warm for balmier weather/water scenarios. For young paddlers they’re a great choice as the suit will fend off windchill while paddling but not be so hot that your child’s SUP session becomes uncomfortable.

Our super warm 3.5mm wetsuits for kids are great for both boys & girls, keeping them nice & warm with full SPF protection for in and out of the water. Our suits are 3.5mm stretch neoprene throughout the wetsuit rather than 3mm in the body and 2mm under arms, lower arms and legs etc. Far warmer than most summer suits on the market and designed with cooler UK waters in mind. Note these suits are slim cut and work well on average and skinny kids, if you have a broader stockier child you may need a suit with super strech neo like our winter full wetsuits or these looser cut 3mm full suits.

Kids suits are hard to size as all ages comes in different shapes and sizes!! Please measure from their lower ankle (where trousers would end) across the front of the body to the lower centre neck (where a t-shirt crew neck centre would sit) and this will give you the measurement for the sizes in cm. We have used the size chart for many years and we find it very accurate. If your child is between the sizes, go for the nearest size to their measurement, larger if they are broader, smaller if they are slim.

With SUP safety being an ever growing concern, due to the surge in popularity of stand up paddle boarding, having the correct gear is imperative. Pand Boardsports’ quick release SUP safety belt is the easiest and safest way to stay leashed to your SUP board.
Having a leash is important but having the right leash is more so! The wrong type in the wrong environment can be as lethal as not having one at all.
