Hayling Island SUP Girls is an initiative to get more women paddling, with a group of like minded ladies. Emily McDonald started organising these ad hoc pop up paddling events a few years back. Gathering together a bunch of ladies there’d be chance to learn, discuss and progress personal SUP skills.

In the last few years, because of the pandemic (mainly), these pop up events have been on hold. But recently the Hayling Island SUP GIrls get togethers made a return. A number of women made a beeline for Hayling’s seafront where a chilled SUP session was had. Followed by sundown drinks at the local Inn On The Beach.

Grassroots level gatherings like this are great for all sports – not just SUP. They’re a brilliant way to glean essential info and learn new skills. All in a chilled out way. So hats off to Emily for helping to organise. Stay tuned for more.
If you’re a lady looking for stand up paddle boarding advice then get in contact. We’re only too happy to help or put you in touch with a fellow female paddler.
