Summer can be great for getting outdoors. The warm weather is perfect to be heading off the beaten track, discovering new spots and taking in countryside views. But whilst we certainly love a good dose of sunshine there’s nothing that quite compares to autumn/winter outdoor adventure.
Scrambling up and down dales, mooching along bridleways or taking it more extreme and heading up mountains during the off season can sometimes be more fulfilling than warmer months. Donning that wet weather gear and strolling through gales and rain, warm and toasty in your kit, makes that after session brew or bevy all the more salivating a prospect.
We adore rambling and roaming on cold weather days, the anticipation of a roaring log fire welcoming us at the end of a sojourn an extremely tantalising thought. Faces aglow and that stoked feeling you get from battling the elements is addictive.
