Wing foiling spring is now upon us! Spring is the time those who’ve been hibernating fling open the curtains, dust down their gear and get back amongst it. With wing foiling in mind spring into summer is when we see the most riders out. Mostly because those winter gales have abated and sunshine sea breezes are in effect. Or at least lighter winds. Which are perfect for wing foiling.
This all said we’re still very much at the start of spring. Water temperatures, whilst gradually rising, are still cold. And with any breeze in the mix there’s still a nip. Particularly early doors or late in the day. Therefore any watery session will dictate thicker rubber. 3/2mms aren’t quite go for action yet!
A recent wing foiling session being a case in point. On this day there was a bit of cloud about but the air was mild, winds were verging on moderate and waters were flat. The NCW 5/3mm back zip wetsuit proving its worth in the warmth and flexibility stakes. Big thanks to our friend James Dunstone for capturing the action. Check out the gallery above to see the NCW 5/3mm back zip wetsuit in its element. Then head over to NCW’s adult winter wetsuits page here where you’ll find plenty of rubber goodness for whatever watersports you’re into.
