NCW is proud to support charitable organisations like the The Veterans Regroup Project. In fact, we like to do as much as we can with charities of all types where possible. Watersports can have such a big impact on people’s lives and are often used for rehabilitation and well being purposes. SUP – being one of the most accessible – is a great ‘tool’ for this kind of thing which is why NCW was only glad to help out.
Based in Redruth, Cornwall, The Veterans Regroup Project supports military veterans, those still serving and their families in Cornwall and Devon. They provide a wealth of advice and support as well as organising events and social gatherings. Using a variety of tools – including outdoor activities like stand up paddle boarding – the charity provides respite and routes to improved mental health and well being.
It’s long been reported that SUP can be an aid for mental health and well being. Which is why we’ve provided the with O’Shea inflatable stand up paddle boards. This paddle boarding equipment will now be used to help individuals in service and their families.
