At NCW we’re acutely aware of not resting on our laurels and simply letting things happen. Wetsuit manufacturing techniques are advancing and new materials are always being adopted by bigger brands. As such we need to be ‘on it’ – after all, this will only benefit you, the end user of our rubberised gear.
We’re currently in amongst it with a new winter wetsuit design that’ll be rolled out after an initial period of testing. After all, we need to make sure any new product fits the bill (literally and figuratively), and is worth replacing old versions for.
A dedicated team of watersports nuts are testing these new products across a variety of watery disciplines as we speak. Feedback has been coming thick and fast and everything’s looking pretty good so far.
When we test kit we look at the whole picture –
Is the wetsuit warm (obviously)?
Does it offer maximum protection against the elements?
How does water flush compare to previous models?
What’s overall fit like?
How comfortable is it?
Is the manufacturing process up to scratch – are seams stitched correctly and is glue hard wearing enough?
Does the suit offer enough flexibility – without any loss of heat retention?
Are materials hard wearing and durable?
Are added value features (such as key pouches) worthy of inclusion?
The above is just a small insight regarding the in depth testing North Coast Wetsuits goes through with each new product we add to our already extensive rang. Stay tuned for new kit landing soon…
