Surf shop authenticity is a big thing for us here at NCW’s The Rubber Shack. Real surf shops are often hard to come by in this day and age. Often surf shops are just exercises in high street fashion. With a slightly salty edge. Meanwhile, those of us who are the real deal continue to fly the flag for a bona fide surf shop is.

Surf shop premises like ours are unique. Based in St. Endellion, just outside Port Isaac and close to Polzeath NCW’s The Rubber Shack nestles within the confines of a farmyard. There are fields of green all around with stunning views both and south along the Cornish coastline.

From our window, you can see the likes of Trebarwith Strand, among other spots. This plonks us slap bang in the middle of prime surfing real estate. And being a shack, in a farmyard, we’re from the madding crowd of mass surfing consumerism.

Why visit The Rubber Shack.

Within The Rubber Shack’s surf shop four walls you find a whole load of good stuff dedicated to the brine. We come from surfing and riding waves remains a staple part of North Coast Wetsuit’s business. But we’re also keen on any watersport.

As such, all NCW’s wetsuits and accessories are designed with saltwater fun in mind. We’ve a wealth of experience in the ocean. And we design wetsuits and kit to be fit for purpose that has masses of longevity (being kinder to the planet) yet with price points that won’t require a second mortgage. NCW also stocks and sells a number of third party wetsuit brands for even more choice.

What else?

It doesn’t just stop with wetsuits here at The Rubber Shack surf shop. NCW retails a bunch different hardware for bellyboarding, bodyboarding, stand up paddle boarding and surf skating. We go toys basically! If you can slide it sideways we’re all over it.

Also, more and more NCW is gaining a reputation for quality used and second hand wetsuits. We take in pre-loved wetsuits at our surf shop and give them a new lease of life. For a good many, this is a great cost-effective option. It also keep petrochemical rubber out of landfill and extends the use of surfing gear.

Being in the wetsuit business for many years we’re acutely aware of how body shapes differ. As do wants and needs. This is why NCW’s Rubber Shack surf shop has an on site seamstress who can alter and change most of gear.
