It’s been an interesting few days for big wave surfing during the last few days. After a fairly quiet start to autumn the Atlantic has roared into life bringing super size surf to many parts of Europe.
UK beaches have had their fair share of juice with some spots topping the triple overhead mark. Winds have been tricky for scoring sessions so sheltered spots have proved the go for those in the know.
Big wave riders, however, have had it good – particularly at the notorious locations of Nazare (Portugal) and Mullaghmore (Ireland). COVID has halted travel plans for many with both the mentioned seeing quieter than usual lineups – especially Ireland. That said big wave chargers Conor Maguire and Andrew ‘Cotty’ Cotton both scored epic rides which have been well documented across the interweb and social media platforms.
But it ain’t just been the surfer boys scoring big conditions. Some windsurfers, such as Thoms Traversa and co, have also been hitting it as can be seen below. Again, full respect! Click on the link for full vid below.
